Promoting Trade Unlocked to your contacts and members
Trade Unlocked is a unique event that is bringing together small businesses, large enterprises, policymakers and politicians. But this might mean that smaller organisations and sole traders, when looking at the programme of panelists and speakers, feel that this isn’t an event for them. As ambassadors for Trade Unlocked, please reassure your contacts by making it clear that SMEs and individual traders are an extremely important voice that is often ignored. In fact, they are the most important people to invite to take part. It is these businesses that are often suffering silently, and Trade Unlocked wants to change that. Everyone who attends on 20th June has an equal opportunity to shape the recommendations produced, and we hope the materials below help you invite them. This is a unique chance for them to speak directly to policymakers.
Key information to include
Explicitly mention that businesses, particularly those with 1-20 employees, from your industry are needed.
Reassure them that they do not need to be senior enterprise leaders although there will be many attending - everyone at Trade Unlocked is invited to shape policy equally.
Smaller businesses and Sole Traders may qualify for free accommodation the night prior to the event (19th June) as part of the SME Access Scheme. Anyone wishing to attend under this scheme just needs to contact info@tradeunlocked.co.uk
Be sure to send an email to your members that is specifically inviting them to Trade Unlocked using the promotional code you have been provided. The event is a bit too complicated to explain as an item in your regular newsletter.
Include details of people attending that are most likely to interest your contacts or members.
